Hi everybody, in July our family will travel for the first time to Vietnam. We are struggling a bit whether we would stay in the north and central or also visit the south. We do have 3 weeks, so in theory we could. But have been reading so much mixed messages about the south in July that we don't know anymore. Any experiences / recommendations from the Vietnam experts here...

I was at the pagoda in Na Trang and a guy offered to take our picture and then he said he the Vietnamese Red Cross he had a list of people who had given money and he wanted us to put our name on the list and our where we were from and donate some money. It was probably a scam but we donated only 200,000 dong he wanted more...

I see lots of posts about fast track at the airport. Is this just for flights coming in internationally, or for flights domestically within Vietnam as well? Are the wait times really that long? We are flying to a few different cities in Vietnam and I'm concerned now about how much of our day we will spend at the airport.

Looking for tips for a great hotel in Hanoi. I've been told that many on Booking.com are not like their ads, and having been scammed by 2 hotels in Egypt I'm a bit nervous.
