I’m visiting Vietnam for the first time in mid December.

I’m visiting Vietnam for the first time in mid December. I really want to see the Sapa area, but I am afraid it’s going to be very cold. We are warm weather folks and also want to do some scuba diving in the south. I only have about 15 days. Am I biting off more than I can chew?

One week in Sapa is plenty… kinda chilli but not too bad, Bring some long johns to be warm. They got plenty of hats, scarfs, and gloves to buy – keep you warm. Also note that not all hotels have good heating for winter time. Go to market place – buy jerky and dried mango for good snacks. Find the cinnamon mountain tea to achieve maximum enlightenment.

Mid December is very cold in Sa Pa. If you don’t like the cold then it’s definitely not for you.

You should check out May Retreat – Hữu Lũng (2 hours from Hanoi) with the stunning sunset, the delicious local food and the beautiful nature surrounding. Let’s come and enjoy the authentic here.
