My son is in Vietnam now. Entered on a 45 day visa and want to stay longer. How do we go about this? Which website do I go to and what date do I put in as entry? It’s complicated 😞

If he’s from the uk he wouldn’t need a visa for you to 45 days in the first place and the. Just has to do a border run to Thailand or Cambodia which then gives him another 45 days. Not sure how many times he could do that though

Leave and comeback Vietnam with new 90 days visa or 45 days exemption
Applying for a 90 day evisa is not advisable during Tet. He would be better to fly to Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok or similar and return on the 45 day visa exemption.
If he has UK passport the simple thing is to pop over to Bangkok, have a couple of nights in Nana Plaza 😜 , then pop back to get new exemption.
