Spontaneous! And that’s where my question comes in:Which places, off the beaten tourist track, are absolutely must-sees?Nature, culture, water sports, people, and of course, food – that’s what we want to experience. Please share your favorite moments and places with us! 🤗Best regards 🖖— với Alex Nenno.

I have traveled Vietnam quite a lot over the last few years, mostly for food and adventure. A few places off the beaten track for you to consider. Phong Nha is amazing and not overly busy. Van long wetlands and Ken Ga in Ninh Binh province are very natural. I try to generally stay in the North as I find it far more Natural than the South. I make YouTube in the winter just for something to do and have a street food business that I do in the UK in the summer months so mostly cover the food aspect of travelling. I am here in Hanoi now. Take a look if you are interested.
Ninh Binh is amazing. It seems to be more popular of late, but when we were there last year it seemed like mostly Vietnamese tourists. Pho Co is a lovely village. Tam Coc is a great little boat ride. For a real authentic experience, find yourself a restaurant that specializes in goat!
Just drove 10 minutes away from the groups of tourists you see.
I liked The Maze Bar in Da Lat. A great way to meet other travellers and it’s (like the name says a total maze!!) if you are stopping by in Da Lat, definately worth a visit and you’ll have laugh 😂👀 Da Lat is a fun place. Lots of activity’s and not as busy as Hanoi or Saigon. Less scooters. Don’t skip all the touristic activity’s because you’ll miss out a lot. Pick local homestays and local bars and restaurants to avoid tourists.
Kon tum surprised me and ended up being one of my favorite places to stay. We stayed at a Homestay.
Phong Nha isn’t often talked about but it has amazing caves to explore & swim in! Beautiful scenery. Very chilled
If you’re starting in Ho Chi Minh City, I highly recommend exploring beyond the usual tourist spots 😊
Everybody wants off the beaten path. It will soon be crowded. The sites that people want to see are for a reason. Don’t miss them or you will miss a lot. Besides that’s where you get off the track from.

I wrote a blog on traveling the entire Vietnam in a non touristic way. Hope it helps you somehow 😊 https://www.mekongzigzag.com/…/thoughtfully-chosen…
