Does anyone have experience with Vietnam airlines free checked bag? I just saw that they have a maximum dimension of 158 cm for a suitcase. My suitcase is 161 cm. Do you think that will be a problem? I’ll be within the weight limit✈️

We travelled last year not had our bags checked half the time didn’t weigh hand luggage either
No issues with size for check in bags. Never seen them measure unless it’s a really oversized like a golf or ski bag size.
Be careful they broke the locks on my bag 😭 then said u have to contact this person via email and guess what I haven’t done anything
Flew with them today. They did not measure but there are measurements written on the luggage scale.

Travelled on many of their internal flights this past fortnight and you’ll be fine – they don’t care about the size of checked in our carry on bags – only the weight

We flew from HCM city to Da Nang yesterday on Viet Jet. They weigh your bags and if they are over you pay a nominal fee and they check your bags. We paid $27.00 for two bags. It’s easy peezy and certainly nothing to stress over. Enjoy.
We flew in-country to Dalat a few weeks ago with no measurements for size or were taken at all.
Never seen them measure a bag except carry on
