Staying 4 nights in Hue and would like to visit both sites on the one day.Would a self propelled bike rental be a practical way to solve the travel logistics or is moped rental the norm in Hue? I do have a full motorbike licence.Alternatively, would car/motorbike taxi make more sense? Are pickups at the tomb sites to be expected or would retain ones driver/riders for the full expedition?

Just last week we stayed in Hoi An & De Nang. After scrolling through many posts for a driver I contacted Nguyen Binh. We are a family of 5 (kids 12, 10 & 7 years). Binh was wonderful and very reasonable. He organised our airport transfers and transfers between hotels plus sightseeing. Our first full day in Hoi An was drizzly but that didn’t matter Binh had a wonderful day...

Was doing a search for tipping in Vietnam and they mentioned tipping in VND or with a $2 bill. I've received hundreds of them over the years growing up in red envelopes, which I still have. I know tipping is not something that is common unless it's a tourist area, and more for tour operators, hotel staff, etc. Would using a red envelope outside of Tet be ok to give...
