I am working remotely and have 4 to 5 days to kill between Hoi An and Saigon in late November. I want a beach town with decent wifi, good coffee, and not too much of the package tourist scene.
Nha Trang or Mui Ne? I have heard Nha Trang has better infrastructure but can feel a bit Russian package tour, and Mui Ne has the dunes and kitesurfing but might be dead in November. Is the kite season even on then?
Open to a third option too if there is a quieter spot on that stretch I am missing. Somewhere I can swim in the morning and work in the afternoon without fighting for a sunbed.

We did both in November a few years back. Nha Trang has better wifi and coffee by far, and the beachfront promenade is great for morning swims. Mui Ne was quieter and the dunes are fun for a day, but the kite season was just starting and the town felt half asleep in the evenings. For working remotely, Nha Trang wins easily, just stay away from the main backpacker strip if you want quiet.

That is exactly what I needed to hear, thanks. In Nha Trang, is there a particular area you would stay for quiet plus good wifi? I keep seeing Tran Phu mentioned but I worry it is too busy.

We stayed a bit north of the centre, near the Hon Chong area, and it was much calmer but still walkable to cafes. Tran Phu itself is busy and noisy at night. North side gives you the same beach without the tour groups, and the wifi in our apartment was solid for video calls.
