Family hotel in Da Nang near the beach, any recommendations?

We are a family of four, kids are 7 and 4, heading to Da Nang for five nights in December. I want to be near the beach but I am trying to avoid one of those giant tower resorts where you queue for the breakfast buffet.

Ideal would be somewhere mid-range with a pool the kids can actually use, breakfast included, and beach access without crossing a six lane road. A balcony would be a bonus for after the kids are asleep.

I keep seeing My Khe beach mentioned as the best stretch. Is it worth paying more to be right there, or are the hotels a bit further along just as good? Any places you stayed with kids and would go back to?
