Ok. Motorbike rental post…As an Aussie I can’t use an international license here in Vietnam. I’m half way through a 3 week trip.Trang An and Mu Cang Chai rentals were no worries at all. And zero hassles while riding. They’ll give a bike to anyone out there. In Da Nang now and the first few rental places wanted a legit international license. Kept asking… there’s always some that’ll rent to anyone 😉 Did Hai Van Pass and riding in town. Absolutely fantastic experience. Only tip- go early and beat the traffic up the hill. Loved riding in traffic in town tho. Looks chaotic but is a symphony of weaving. Can’t wait to get back into it. Last week of our trip in Hoi An next. Will update soon on how that goes with renting a bike

Police everywhere in Da Nang now, checking foreigners!
If I would have a bike rental business, I wouldn’t risk renting a bike and getting it confiscated!
As a Aussie riding in VN traffic, I would not risk loosing travel insurance in an instant either!
Yes there are some places that will rent a bike. But if you don’t have the correct license there will be trouble with the police
Apparently the Vietnamese cops are getting tougher with foreigners, if they don’t have a licence.
We got asked by 2 places to leave our passport in Da Nang 🤷♀️ is that normal ? There’s no way . In Hue at the moment and hotel got us one 4 hun thou for 2 days no paperwork 😉
Try Tigit Motorbikes. I thought they only wanted valid IDP’s for over 150cc.
