There’s been talks of shortages in jet fuel in April.

There’s been talks of shortages in jet fuel in April.I fly out on Thursday 19/03 and leave Friday 03/04. Flight is with Vietjet. My evisa has already been approved but I put my exit date as 03/04/26. I didn’t know you could put 30 days or 90 days from entry. I’m concerned if Vietjet cancels my flight last minute, I’ll be overstaying my visa. The flight back to Australia is at 8pm so it feels very tight to try and book a last minute to try and get out of Vietnam. I can’t reapply for another e-visa in time cause I’m leaving in less than 48 hours. What are my options? Should I contact one of the visa agents and try and get another visa done with 30 or 90 days? I’m aware there will be additional fees.Or should I try to change my return flight with Vietjet earlier? E.g. try to rebook to return 01/04/26 instead. My partner says we should be ok but I can’t help to be a little concerned.

The government has put in place emergency visas for anyone affected by the war. You need to apply at the department of immigration if that ends up becoming an issue

What ever happens do not change your plans, its the airline’s responsibility to get you to your destination regardless if that means by bike parachute which ever, your their problem!

Don’t change your flights, wait to see if the carrier changes them. They may reduce flights if they only have light haulage. However they will have to do what they can to accommodate already booked travellers. If you start changing things you have to pay and it may make no difference. Visa extensions would be handled at the time
