Since our trip was cancelled two weeks ago due to the war, we are now planning to postpone our travel to September. We would like to know if this is a good season to visit the Sapa region, Hanoi, Halong Bay, and Ninh Binh. Our main concern is the typhoon season. Is this period risky for this region? What is your opinion or experience?

Last year was very bad in September and October. Rains, floods throughout Central to Northern Vietnam. It was unusual; but extremely bad.

It’s doable, just keep plans flexible. Ninh Binh and Hanoi are less affected, but Ha Long cruises can get canceled if weather turns bad. Vie Travel AI helps track conditions and adjust itinerary if needed.
