Take the heritage train.
The train is also a good option, but I would recommend traveling by private car because you can stop along the way to visit beautiful places such as Hai Van Pass, Lap An Lagoon, Lang Co Beach, and more. I highly recommend Hue Car Service. They provide very good service and their prices are quite reasonable.
Thank you for all your suggestions. Sounds like the train will be best for us.
At this moment, we are on a jeeptour between Hue and Hoi An, with wonderful stops and great lunch. Loving it
The best way to travel from Da Nang to Hue is by private car via Hai Van Pass, which is very scenic. Hue is definitely worth visiting for 1 days.
Book the tour by train. Its amazing
TRAIN!!!
That’s the most beautiful train route in Vietnam
A train from Da Nang to Hue is a popular option (about 2.5–3 hours) and very scenic. Hue is a great stop before heading to Hanoi for a day or two. Vie Travel AI helped me organize that part of my itinerary.
We did the trip from Hue to Hoi An a few days ago and chose to go by private car. It’s a leisurely drive and there are nice stops along the way. We spent four nights in Hue and really enjoyed it. The Imperial Citadel is amazing. The city is easy to navigate, pretty and a great place for walking. The traffic isn’t at all chaotic 😉
