Where exactly you gonna go? Ok to visit, best time for central, but very hot. Rain a lot in northern mountain, very hot in northern lowland. Hot in the south, but rain in afternoon to cool it off.
Hey Stephen Emerson! For a north to south Vietnam trip after July, late November through March is usually the easiest weather window, with February and March often feeling like the sweet spot. August to October can be rougher with heavy rain and the chance of storms, especially up north and along the central coast. Central Vietnam around Hue, Da Nang and Hoi An can stay pretty wet into November and sometimes December, so it can throw off beach plans. If you’re going earlier like October, I’d consider starting in the south and moving north later to dodge some of the worst rain. still on wet season Sir. southern still ok.
Central is good until October/November
Last December we traveled with our family to both the south and the north of Wietnam. Personally, I preferred the south because the weather was warmer and sunnier.
