You should be fine. You are right that you will have to change terminals and there can be long queues to get through immigration and security. I wouldn’t bother with a lounge – you won;t get value from it even if you can get in there in time. Enjoy your trip!

Check your booking. If your domestic flight is with Vietnam Airlines, you will need to catch a shuttle to terminal 3. If VietJet you will be next door in terminal 1, which is a 5 min walk. Ignore those saying it will take 2 or 3 hours to get through immigration, that is simply no longer the case. Anyway, depends entirely on which airline as to which terminal to book a lounge.

But to answer your question you must collect your bags and clear immigration before continuing to Da Nang. Best to hangout at a lounge near the Danang departure gate

If they told you it’s in another building then it’s in another building like do you want us to give you a different answer okay it’s in the same buildings and let’s go ahead and book your lounge and don’t worry about anything

I think you won’t have time to book a lounge. You need to budget one and a half hours to get through immigration and collect your bags, budget 30 minutes to get from the international terminal to whichever domestic terminal you need to use, and domestic flights suggest you arrive 2 hours early before departure. Based on that scenario it’s probably not worth giving a lounge.

Hmmmmmm your bags will probably go direct to Da Nang, check your ticket! It’ll tell you exactly

SGN Airport has lounges in both terminals. Domestic (T1) features Le Saigonnais and Prime Lounge. International (T2) features Rose Business Lounge and Jasmine Halal Lounge (both near gates, open until midnight). Access is available via business class, premium cards, or paid entry (~400k VND).

You won’t have time to go to the lounge unless you book fast track through immigration. It can take up to 2-3 hours. Depending on the time you land. Before 10 is ok. Or after 9pm. Then yes you have to walk 5 min to the next terminal, if it’s terminal 1..But it’s close. Just turn right and follow everyone else. Again big lines for vietjet to recheck in.
