We’ll stay at Ninh Binh for 1 day in June. We want to do the Tam Coc boat tour and Mua Cave. People recommend climbing Mua Cave as early in the day as possible before it gets too hot. However, all the tours I’ve looked at on Tripadvisor and Klook always do Mua Cave last. Is there anyway to get around this and do it earlier in the day? Any tips are appreciated

So let me ask you a question, what you do when you hike in a hot weather? Doesn’t matter if it’s in Vietnam, US or where else. If you can answer the question I asked in details with good info, then that will solve the problem. I hiked all the way up to top in 20 min with little bit of water and it didn’t kill me and it was last stop of the day tour. Not only me, but also bunch of people, especially foreigners and Asian people from somewhere else.
We went to the boat trip in Trang An. It was great going through the caves along the river. We went to the Hang Mua Mtn first, then Hoa Lau. Had lunch in the area between them. Then went on the boat trip. Luckily it was cloudy but I took an umbrella for sun. It was 2 hrs +.

I’m local guide in Ninh Binh. In summer time, it’s getting dark late, the sun seems to burn everything, so even you come in the afternoon when the sun set, it still hot! you can feel hot in the air suround you, cover your body with no wind, sweaty 🥵 . I think early morning is better!
We just caught a grab from Tam Coc. Would definitely go as early as possible! Even in February it was hot work!🥵
