   If your family can use cycles then we found that the best way to get about and then perhaps a private driver for trips further afield. A didn’t have children with us so can’t comment on that aspect but we found the TamCoc Green Mountain homestay very good.

   We’re going with a young child and we’re planning on doing it all ourselves and using bikes (provided by homestay) to get around. It’s a personal choice, but if you’re not tour people anyway, this looks like a very easy place to explore on your own.

   If you book a private tour you will maintain full flexibility. We booked a few day trips just for our family ie ‘private’ and this allowed us to flex around kids (& our) needs
