We walked all round Hanoi today trying to get a Viettel 30 day SIM but no luck. We tried several stores with the Viettel logo displayed but they just said no! Does anyone have an address for somewhere I can buy a Viettel SIM in Hanoi or suggestions for the next best national network.
For those who say buy online before you go.. those are not 5G from Viettel, (vinephone or even worse) thus they are cheap and no registration needed and one obvious thing about them is – bad reception in many areas or in remote areas, mountains – if you plan to go to those areas.
Anyone I need some help, what about a week at hcmc , do I need buy online or walk in? Where to buy?
If you’re mostly in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi, VinaPhone can be great for speed. If you plan to travel throughout Vietnam (rural/mountains/islands), Viettel is usually better overall due to wider 5G coverage.
