Greetings everyone,
We are a family of four currently planning our itinerary around Mu Cang Chai. We require a private car service to collect us there in the morning and deliver us to Lao Cai train station by 8:00 p.m. at the absolute latest, due to our scheduled overnight train departure to Hanoi.
We hope to transform this necessary transfer into an enjoyable day trip. Ideally, we wish to take the picturesque route through the O Quy Ho mountain pass toward Sapa, allowing time for lunch and a brief excursion or sightseeing in Sapa itself. If feasible, we would also appreciate a quick stop at Fanxipan or any other striking viewpoints en route.
Could anyone suggest a trustworthy private driver or transportation company suitable for this specific journey?
Furthermore, any advice on recommended stops during the drive, or a fantastic lunch venue in Sapa, would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks a lot in advance,
Nina

Definitely the road from Mu Cang Chai to Sapa is very scenic, the journey needs to be started early to have enough time to visit some attractions in Sapa. Passing O Qui Ho, Silver or Love waterfall can be visited before reaching Fanxipan Cable car station but I do not think you will have more time for that. Ideally, just pass by and take a picture of mountain and enjoy the view from the road linking to Sapa town.
Hello,
Suggest you contact Ly, the owner of Hello Mu Cang Chai Homestay.

You should be very clear about your plans and where you wish to stop.
If you want an English speaking tour guide, make this clear, as local automobile driver won’t speak English.
Search Google Maps for things to do, and scenic view points.
This is very simple as there is only one route from MCC through Ô Quy Hồ to:
“Cable Car Station – Sun World Fansipan Legend” and on to Sa Pa town.
With a private car and driver it should take a bit more than five hours.
Plenty of typical local style restaurants on this route, you won’t go hungry.
Safe travels 😊
