Hello everyone, I am a British national planning a trip to Kunming, China, this September. I was hoping to find out if it is feasible to apply for and obtain the necessary visa while I am physically in Hanoi?
I appreciate any information shared.

submit online application first, then you show up in person to present documents.
Thank you guys
You don’t need visa for certain days, but are required to show POOT and proof of confirmed hotel bookings at check-in counter staffs, who are usually in stage of confusing.
If you are planning to be in mainland China for 10 days or less you may be eligible for the 240 hour visa free entry. If longer than that then you would certainly need a visa.
you can try contacting China embassy based in Hanoi.
