   D1 is a lively place to stay where you can easy to access to every service in HCMC, the price is adjustable and D1 is a tourist place, you might not easy to have authentic experience as local people. And D1 is kinda like “central” city, where all the club, pub, bar will be surrounded and shortest way to attraction can be found in HCMC like museum, mall, airport,etc

   D7 is similar to D1, also lively, have several type of service to access and D7 gather around with lots of local people as well as expatriates. So on, you can have various type of cuisine as well and away from tourist destinations. And you can easy to access to central city or attractions by multiple such as Grab , XanhSM, Be, … ( all the options above with car or bike as per your wish)

   However, you should consider about your preference, whether you prefer to stay away from central city to enjoy this city peacefully, away from the crowd and still can pay a visit to attractions, I recommend D7 or you rather to stay in the heart of city where everything is reachable within distance, I suggest you D1 for this option.

   Most staying in D1. D7 is not bad with locals and shopping malls too but faraway from tour attractions
