Hello there!
I’m scheduled to visit Vietnam this November, and Ho Chi Minh City is set to be my very first destination.
I am passionate about gathering unique souvenirs from the various countries I travel to, and I read an article concerning a man who has been crafting traditional Vietnamese masks for 30 years and retailing them on the streets.
However, the published article is fairly old, and I am uncertain if this gentleman is still continuing this work or not.
As I will only be in the city for two days, finding him might be quite challenging. But I would truly appreciate any information (such as the specific location where I might meet him) that anyone could provide.
His name is Nguyen Van Bay, and here is the reference link to the article:

Did anyone find this guy?
Hi! were you successful in finding him? I’m traveling to HCMC this week as well and would like to find this mask maker.
After searching for a while, I found his number: 0902703015 (after double-checking on Zalo)
If you need help with a conversation with him, I am willing to help while you’re in Saigon.
Cheers,
Join Expat group on Facebook, for sure you will find better answer because there are lots of Vietnamese who are able to help.
There’s a more recent article about this man and it mentions the district where he lives, but I am not sure that it will necessarily help you find him 🙁

Perhaps make contact with the paper and quote the date of the article and see if they are able to point you in the right direction.
