I’m currently organizing a trip to Ba Na Hills and would appreciate any recommendations you can offer. Here are a few queries I have:
What is the approximate duration needed for a visit to Ba Na Hills, including the travel time from Da Nang?
I’m staying close to My Khe beach; from which location can I catch the cable car up the mountain?
Since I plan to visit in mid-August, is it necessary to pack warm attire?

We went to Ba Na Hills today, it’s about a 40-minute drive from our hotel at My Khe Beach.
From the parking area, there’s a free shuttle bus that runs continuously to the ticket office.
It’s just a 2-minute drive.
We bought entrance tickets on arrival (without the buffet) for 950,000 VND.
After getting our tickets, there’s a bit of walking and around 7 escalators to go up before reaching the 22-minute cable car ride to the main park.
Once you’re inside the park, another cable car takes you to the Golden Bridge.
The area isn’t wheelchair-friendly at all, similar to many other places in Vietnam, mainly due to the crowds and narrow walkway.
We bought our tickets around 08:30 and reached the Golden Bridge by 09:30.
It was already quite busy with tour groups, but not as crowded as it usually gets from Friday to Monday.
We left early since we were only interested in seeing the Golden Bridge.
On the way back, we had to take the stairs down, as the 7 escalators only go up, that might change later in the day when its time for the people to go home.
It was windy today, I don’t think it’s like that every day in the park.
Wearing a t-shirt and shorts was perfectly fine.
We had a private driver for the day, so I’m not sure how easy it would be to get a Grab or taxi back to Da Nang city if you don’t have your own transport.
How did you bring the luggages up the Bana Hills? Is it together with your Cable Car ride? Is the place wheel chair friendly?

I am planning to stay two nights at the hotel in the French Village of BaNa Hills. Did you have to buy tickets for every day you went to the park? Or do you just buy one ticket and you can go as many times until you check out of the hotel? Thank you in advance!
I also have additional questions:
1) Would it be overall cheaper to take a grab from Da Nang, pay entry frees and navigate around yourself?
I am only interested in the bridge, cable car and coaster really.

Hi, I just returned from a central Vietnam trip last night. We went Ba Na Hills, stayed 2 nights, partly to enjoy the cooler climate (low of 18 to high of 26 vs 27 to 33 in Da Nang city). You need a light jacket, good to have rain coat/umbrella in case it drizzles (it did!).
Ba Na Hills have lots to offer (rides, walk around French Village, visit gardens, wine cellar, pagoda, castle, watch 11 am Fairy Blossom performance (except Tue) etc), so it depends on your interest, you spend the right amount of time there. Lots of people do day trip, ie take the earliest cable car up and latest 9pm cable car back to the city. There are a few cable car lines, if you want to visit the Golden Bridge 1st, you go to Hoi An station, if you want to visit French Village 1st, you go to Tac Tien station, both about 45 – 60min from My Khe beach. You can hire grab easily.
It’s good to spend a night on the Hills, book a room with Mercure French Village, vibe at night is different. There are also night performances at Beer Plaza from 7 to 8pm. As hotel guests, you get the opportunities to take nice pictures are the Golden Bridge early morning, before the crowds come in, by catching cable cars at 6am or 6:30am or 7am. We loved the experience to be there early morning, have the bridge to just few persons, compared to hundreds! Hotel guests enjoyed 20% discounted cable car cum rides tickets at 630k VND. Enjoy!
1) about 45mins each way to My Khe BNH. How many hours? I don’t know, as long as you enjoy up there till closing time. 4 hrs should be sufficient.

Where did you get the information?
You need to take Grab taxi, metered taxi or greyhound bus (run by schedule) to go BNH.
And then the cable car is at the base gate to go up there.
3) you need rain coat. It is starting raining season but up there is a bit chilly even summer time, about 6°C drop.
