Vietnam Trip December 2024: Da Nang–Hoi An or Da Lat?

Hello everyone! I’m from Malaysia and planning a quick trip to Vietnam from December 22nd to 26th this year, as I need to use up some annual leave days. I have previously enjoyed visits to both Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. This time, I’m looking to explore new areas and have seen countless appealing influencer videos highlighting Da Nang–Hoi An and Da Lat. Both destinations look great, but since social media often presents only the highlights, I’m hoping for genuine advice from locals or previous visitors. Given I only have a few days, I prefer to focus on one area to explore thoroughly. Therefore, which would you recommend as the better choice for late December: Da Nang (with one day in Hoi An) OR Da Lat? Thanks for your input!
