Anyone else get invited to a local’s family dinner?

ust had the most amazing experience in Hoi An. I was talking to a local shop owner and he invited me to have dinner with his family tonight. I’m so excited but a little nervous. Is this common? Should I bring a gift?

It’s not super common, but it’s a huge sign of hospitality and trust. It’s an honor to be invited into a Vietnamese home. A small gift would be a lovely gesture. Fruit, a box of sweets, or even a small souvenir from your home country would be a great way to show your appreciation. Enjoy this unique experience!
